Lingotran, Mysuru start-up honoured at ICAN International School’s Accolade Day

Mysuru, March 18: Lingotran, a Mysuru-based language learning platform, was recognised for its contributions to modernising language education at the Accolade Day celebration held on Wednesday at ICAN International School. The Educational Partner Award was presented by School Director Ms. Astrid Sharon to the Lingotran team, acknowledging their role in enhancing foreign language learning among students.
The recognition comes at a time when Lingotran is gaining increasing attention among educators as an effective solution for schools seeking to integrate technology into language education. With global communication skills becoming ever more essential, institutions adopting such platforms early are beginning to see tangible benefits.

ICAN International School, which follows the Cambridge curriculum, has been using Lingotran for over 18 months and reports encouraging outcomes. Teachers have noted marked improvements in students’ pronunciation, performance, and confidence in using foreign languages.
Ms. Swapna, the school’s French teacher, highlighted a noticeable shift in student engagement.
“Students now look forward to Wednesdays when they get to practise French in the computer lab,” she said, underscoring a level of enthusiasm that many educators aim to foster.

Before its official launch, Lingotran was piloted with over 500 students across schools in Bengaluru and Mysuru. The platform was refined continuously based on teacher feedback.
Recently, it also marked its international debut at the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA Annual Conference in Miami.
Nikhil Ranga, Co-founder and Director of Lingotran, emphasised the company’s vision of enabling students to actively use the languages they learn.

“Technology, when it works alongside teachers rather than around them, makes a real and lasting difference in how students engage with and retain a new language,” he said.
For ICAN International School, the collaboration aligns with its broader educational philosophy of going beyond the syllabus to create meaningful learning experiences. Both institutions share a commitment to ensuring that education not only benefits individual students but also contributes positively to the wider community.
