Mysuru: Students of Sri Adichunchanagiri Central School, Kuvempunagara, Mysuru, brought pride to their school by participating in the Eco-Friendly Ganesha Making Contest organised by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) as part of its environmental awareness initiative.
The contest witnessed participation from more than 700 students, encouraging children to celebrate the festival while promoting the use of eco-friendly materials and environmental consciousness.
Among the participants, 10 students from Sri Adichunchanagiri Central School were officially selected for their creative Eco-Friendly Ganesha idols. The selected students were honoured with Appreciation Certificates in recognition of their participation and creativity.
The students also had the opportunity to have their creations exhibited at the event, providing them with a memorable platform to showcase their artistic talent and environmental commitment.
The occasion was further special as the students received appreciation from MCC Commissioner Smt. Savitha, KAS, who interacted with the participants and appreciated their efforts towards promoting an eco-friendly celebration.
The students recognised were:
Preksha, Bandhavi, Charithra, Cherin, Divith, Kundan, Vinod, Aadhya Gowda, Samanvitha and Dhruthi.
The achievement reflects the school’s continued encouragement of creativity, experiential learning and environmental responsibility among students.
The school extends its gratitude to the Principal and Management for their wholehearted support and encouragement, which enabled the students to participate and achieve this recognition.
