Ayurveda

Life is the combination of body, senses, mind and reincarnating soul.
Ayurveda is a Indian system of medicine, which maintains balance in body, mind & soul.

Ayurveda is not just a word of yesterday or day before yesterday’s,it’s nearly 5000 yrs old system of medicine still we cannot discover everything and understand the shastra of Ayurveda. It’s one of the precious gift from our ancestors to the medicinal world. If ayurveda was a teacher, the first lesson would be self discipline.

It just cures disease for those who understands Ayurveda as a medicine beyond this Ayurveda itself is a way of living a healthy lifestyle.Ayurveda is a life long journey not a 1 month challenge.
The three main basic pillars of Ayurveda are Aahara (Food), Nidhra (Sleep), Brahmacharya (Celibacy).

If these 3 are proper in our life style then there is no disease and no need of medicine.

Ayurveda never concentrates symptomatic cure and instant relief but it mainly approach our food style, way of living, curing disease from root , prevention of disease. Our acharyas mentioned in ayurveda shastra that is food is a best medicine to cure many disease (aahara is a maha bhaishajyam).
Ayurveda is not only present or future medicine it is evergreen medicine one who follow the diet which are said by acharyas. Improper food and lifestyle are 2 basic things which cause disease so by correcting these two things we can achieve good health .

So what we have to follow to maintain healthy lifestyle style?
First thing we have to understand our body constitution (deha prakruti). Ayurveda consists of 3 basic elements 1) vaata 2) pitta 3) kapha. According to this one should analyse their body constitution and digestive capacity.

Healthy lifestyle is not only meant for external straining of body by doing walk, exersise, yoga etc It also includes cleansing our inside body without any formation of toxins.
Eating food according to the digestive capacity and accordance season is most important.

Special thing about ayurveda is ,here in this our Acharyas mentioned about
1) Dinacharya 2) Raatricharya 3) Rutucharya

In these contexts, Acharyas explained each and every thing to lead a healthy life.
Following these regimen keeps the body and mind healthy.

“Medicine is not health care, food is health care.
Medicine is sick care”
what we eat,how much we eat, when we eat -all these matters more for keeping the body healthy.

Ayurveda explains -Disease caused by both physical (sharirika)and Mentally (manasika). Nowadays people are more prone to mental disorders which directly effect on physical body.
Mental disorders is not just a psychic ,neurological imbalance or any imbalance in secretion of harmones And it cannot be cured completely just by giving Antidepressants, Antipsychotic drugs.
In ayurveda for psychological disorders they explained a lot in treatment aspect without giving any medicinal formulation .

1) Mantra Chikitsa
2) Daiva Vypashraya (treatment based on past deeds)
3) Satva Vajaya Chikitsa (Ayurvedic Pyschotherapy)
4) Yoga and Dhyana

Ayurveda includes Panchakarma therapy to remove toxins from the body which is most useful nowadays.
Vamana ,Virechana, basthi, nasya, rakthamokshana – these are the beneficial procedures to flush out the toxins and make body light.

Ayurveda is not a just a medicinal system but it teaches how to live a life properly and naturally.
Maintaining the health and balance of tridosha (vata, pitta, kapha)keeps the disease away. Main aim of Ayurveda is to prevent the disease by increasing immunity rather than curing the disease in last stage.
Adopting the lifestyle mentioned in the samhitas really keeps the medicine away. This is the only science which teaches the way of living and it remembers we are part of our nature.
Make a wise choice. Choose whatever nature offers us.
